Join us and our
crew on the exhilarating rapids of the Salmon River. This
remote and  relatively unknown section of
the River of No Return drifts through quiet pools and towering
canyon walls and then rushes madly into narrow twisting rapids.
With four separate canyons: Green, Cougar, Snow Hole and Blue,
this section of the Salmon River offers some of the best white
water floating in Idaho. Huge white sand beach camps set nestled
against mountains and steep cliffs. You won't believe the swimming
holes this river has! We'll hike some of the side canyons in
search of old Indian sites. You can fish for Trout, Bass, Sturgeon,
Steelhead and Salmon in season, or even pan for gold. Our meals,
that's another story entirely: fresh meats, seafood, fruits
and vegetables - truly a variety of outdoor cooking at its
best. This is the ultimate in outdoor recreation and camping.
We meet at historic Riggins, Idaho, the night before the trip.
From there it's only a short distance to the launch site at
Hammer Creek.
Packages:
- Package 1: Our regular first-class river trip. We furnish transportation from our meeting place to the river start and from where we get out of the river back to our meeting place. We also furnish all equipment necessary for the trip. We furnish all meals and beverages (except alcohol) but you are welcome to bring your own. We also furnish you with a waterproof ammo can for your camera and other items.
- Package 2: The same as Package 1 except that we also provide first or last night motel accommodations, either preceding or following the regularly scheduled trip - the accomodations being Twin Falls, McCall, Riggins or Boise, depending on the trip. Transportation from the airport to the motel both ways is also included. Our office staff will help make sure all the arrangements are convenient.
- Meals: All of our extended trips include threee meals a day, dessert and beverages. Idaho Guide Service has always served the finest meals on our River Trips: fresh fruits and vegetables as well as the best poultry, seafood and meats make up some delicious dutch-oven and open fire River Cooking.
- Trip Size: On all of our extended trips we keep our groups less than 20 people, including guides. If you desire a special trip just for your family or group, please contact us with your plans.
NOTE ON PRICING FOR FAMILIES AND SENIORS:
Kids 7-17 go 25% off on all trips when accompanied by an adult. Seniors deduct 15% on all trips.

also offer shorter trips of 1, 2 and 3 days on the Salmon
River out of Riggins. Because these trips run partially or
totally along the road, our access is easier; therefore, we
charge less. These trips are more desirable for people on
a time schedule or budget - lots of nice rapids and camping,
or spend nights in the motel. Let us arrange a River Trip
like this for you. Contact us with the details and we'll take
care of everything else.
